    This is the Army’s Exceptional Family Member Program website.

    This is the Coast Guard’s EFMP/Special Needs website.
  • Courage to Care For Me
    This website provides fact sheets on timely health topics relevant to military life developed by military health experts at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
  • Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA)
    The office of the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) provides guidance for military families with children who have special needs domestically or overseas.
  • Education Directory for Children with Special Needs
    The Education Directory consists of two components: The Early Intervention Directory focusing on early intervention services for children birth-3 years old; and the School Age Directory focusing on education services for children with special needs, 3-21 years of age. The directories provide families with information about the early intervention agencies and public schools, located on or near a military installation, that provide special education services to children with disabilities. Both directories provide tools and resources to help with the transition to a new location.

Military OneSource offers help with parenting and child care, education, relocation, financial and legal concerns, and everyday issues.

  • National Military Family Association
    The National Military Family Association provides education and information regarding rights, benefits, and services for military families.
  • Navy EFMP
    This is the Navy’s Exceptional Family Member Program website.
  • STOMP
    STOMP provides information and help to military families (both in the U.S. and overseas) who have children with special needs. The STOMP staff is made up of parents of children with special needs who are trained to work with other parents of children with special needs.
