
Jim Beamesderfer, MBA
Executive in Residence
Jim Beamesderfer, MBA, an Executive in Residence with the Clearinghouse for Military Family Readiness at Penn State, received his MBA from the University of Phoenix and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army and served 6 years in various Infantry units. He formerly led Prudential’s Office of Veterans Initiatives and led several national efforts to improve employment and economic opportunities for veterans, military spouses, and caregivers. He is passionate about serving the military community and sits on the Society for Human Resource Management Foundation Military Community Advisory Committee. He also mentors veterans and military spouses through American Corporate Partners and NPower programs. He is a 2021 George W. Bush Presidential Center Stand to Veteran Leadership Program scholar. He was born in State College, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Penns Valley, so he roots for Penn State and Army football. He also enjoys playing golf, fly fishing for trout and salmon, and spending time with the family’s two Cavalier King Charles.
