Julie Schatz-Stevens, Ph.D., LP, LPC, received her Ph.D. in Psychology (Developmental emphasis) at the University of Notre Dame and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Notre Dame’s Center for Children and Families that was focused on intervention programming for families experiencing conflict. She also completed additional clinical training at Western Michigan University and is a licensed clinical psychologist and licensed professional counselor. Julie’s clinical work has focused on supporting victims of family violence, and she has taught extensively and offered trainings about trauma and family violence during her time as a professor at Aquinas College. Her research interests focus on early family risks and protective factors, family violence, and intervention programming that helps families reach their full potential. She is married and has three children. Her family enjoys spending time outdoors exploring new places, dirt biking, and playing soccer.
